I recently got an Eshopps M130 delivered and the top piece of plywood for the stand has the leveling mat glued onto it. The leveling mat has some imperfections at the corners and on one corner it doesn’t appear to completely cover the entirety of the corner. This may not be a concern, but before I hire people to get this 350lb tank onto the stand, I am wondering if this is going to be an issue if a corner of the tank is not completely resting on the mat and if just buying some additional foam to fill gap would be sufficient. I think with the last picture I can just put a dot of glue at the edge to secure that. Thanks!

I'm OCD/neurotic, so sorry to say. That would bother me. I'm assuming it is not a trank with a true structural "frame"?

It’s a rimless tank, has interior bottom bracing (like a euro brace but at the base of the tank) but does not have a traditional frame. But yeah that was my concern as well.

That type of bottom bracing is always good. Do you happen to know the thickness of your bottom glass? My tank happens to have 1/2" sides, with a 3/4" bottom (braced like yours). Anyway, I really like the Innovative Marine mats that you cut-to-size. You could always buy enough to use a small amount to make repairs, plus add an additional top (second) layer over the stand. Those are my thoughts, anyway. (The IM mats are really tough stuff. I use them under my 150 gallon tanks, on type of the styrofoam boards.)

To answer your question, I think the bottom bracing adds an additional 3/8 inch to the existing 3/4 inch bottom glass. It’s a nicely built tank. Also has seam guards which is a nice touch.

Thanks for the info on the IM mats. I reached out to Eshopps and they are going to get back to me on what can be done, but the IM mats will be a good backup option.

Yup. They were quickly responsive and said that it shouldn’t pose a stability issue but were apologetic and were going to look into a solution. So we will see what they come back with. The reasons I went with a mariner tank is from a spec perspective the tanks/stand seemed well engineered/built but more importantly responsiveness of customer service.
