I added her to our church prayer list and we are believing for a 100% recovery! God made these bodies and he knows how to put them back together again.

I have some sad news.
On Saturday night, Ashley had an episode where all of her vitals went off the charts. After that episode, they gave her several different tests for brain function and she failed all of them.
They repeated the tests on Sunday morning and she failed all of them again.
She was declared legally dead that afternoon, 11/10.
Her parents decided to donate her organs because they knew that she would have wanted to help others, so she was kept on life support until this afternoon in order for everything to be coordinated with other hospitals and the recipients of the organs.
They took her in for the organ donation surgery at 11:30 this morning.

Please, please pray for her family.
This is unspeakably difficult.
Her dad did say, however, that Ashley was always upbeat and positive and he wants to keep the tone of everything surrounding this situation positive for her sake.

I want to share with you guys something that my mom told us while we were all waiting in the hospital lounge during this whole thing.

Mom had been driving Ashley and her brothers and sisters somewhere, and for some reason she asked Ashley kind of lightheartedly, "Ashley, if Jesus came back today, would you be ready to see him?"
Ashley's immediate response was, "Yes Grandma, I really am!"
Then my mom turned around and looked at Ashley in the seat behind her, and asked her again, much more seriously, "Ashley, if you were face to face with God today, would you be ready to see him?"
Ashley responded exuberantly, but with great force as well, "Yes Grandma, I really, REALLY am!!!"
