I want to set up a observation tank. But i don't have any bio media that is cycled .
If I put in some ceramic bio media, and dose with Fritz 9. Will that work keeping the ammonia down .

Couldn't hurt, Maybe add some chaeto in the tank just floating around or rubber banded to something.

It would be smart to get an ammonia alert badge from seachem

It would seem that out of all the bottled bacteria products, Fritz TurboStart seems to work the quickest - about 36-48 hours. Almost all others like Dr. Tim's One and Only take about 3 weeks to work, so I would try the Fritz product.

Good luck!
