this coral seems odd in regards to preferred placement I have heard all extremes and everywhere in between. typically I hear the ones in lower light look more intense red/orange and in higher light it gets a salmon or pinkish hue just my experiences and things I have heard from other reef heads sorry no PAR readings

I have mine sitting less than 8 inches under a 150w and it is doing great. Nice and salmon colored and grows like crazy.

Right now I have mine under six T-5's (tek 6). Fixture is about 8" off the water, and colony is about 10" under the surface. Lots of turbulent (random) flow.

Mine are directly under 250MH 20K's 8" off the sand. looks like Zach's that's after 3 other failed attempts with this Stick.

mine is about 8" from the light running t-5s. They take a long time to start growing.

I have mine about 12" to 14" under a 250 watt halide. The color is pretty close to Nanofin's colony and about the same size. It also gets some good flow and has similar projections. It started slowly but since encrusting the growth has been pretty good.

Sorry but I don't know the PAR reading.

I have mine 12-14" under 400W 14k Metal Halides. I haven't had any significant growth since acquiring my frags several months ago, though they have gotten "lumpier". The color is still a bright red/orange though.
