So a quick update after taking my monthly corals pics. The setosa is growing faster than I expected, and the shape and color are staying really nice. First pic is when I got it 4 months ago, and second pic is today.
Update. Had some fluctuations in alkalinity when I started dosing two-part that seemed to mess w my montis and I had some die back on the front. All well now.
Not the best pic but I have dedicated the lower front section of my tank to this coral, it ought to look pretty nice when the coral frags start to fill in. This is a old pic ,,,, it does look better now than in this pic. I originally had two frags in the tank, one came from Stonecold off of RC the other came from Rocky Mountain frags. I fraged the one from Stonecold with my fat fingers and a fish fraged the one from RMF.
This piece barely survived my last tank crash; just a speck of orange left that I seriously considered tossing. Instead, I placed it on the bottom of my frag tank, out of sight and pretty much forgot about it until I began to see some growth. That was just about a year and a half ago. It now has a circumference of nearly a foot and steals attention
away from almost everything in the DT, fish included.
Very nice Ivy64 :) Its one of my favorite corals in my tank ,,,, great color ,,,, nice growth patterns ,,, and even I can't kill it ,,, at least not yet :)
Just picked up this mini colony the other day.. of course I had to break it off the rock it was on for certain reasons so now I have 4 pieces as of right now.
