For setting up my new tank should I cycle then add clean up crew or fish first. I’ve heard online that I should wait a while till I add a clean up crew since there won’t be anything for them to eat yet?? And what order should I add my fish in?

* 2× DaVinci Clownfish
* 1× Yellow Watchman Goby
* 1× Tiger Pistol Shrimp
* 1× Tailspot Blenny
* 1× Springer’s Damsel
* 1× Helfrich’s Firefish
* 1× Swissguard Basslet (or Flame Angelfish)

First cycle the tank to make it safe for live animals.

Clean up crew consists of herbivores and carnivores. You won't need any algae grazing snails until you start to see algae, but carnivores or omnivores are always good to eat left over food that the fish miss. This can be hermit crabs, bumble snails, nassarius snails, etc...

So I would add fish first along with a few hermits to start. And then add more snails and hermits as you feed more and you see more algae growing.

Can I ask what size your tank is? No matter what, damsels always go in last.
