UPDATE: As of this morning I have been on weight watchers diet for 3 weeks 5 days I think. I have lost 17lbs. :)

My clothes are getting very loose on me now. Thanks for your support.

awesome Rev... :)

Thanks Marvin. You helped me with this so far with those drinks you sent me. Your a good friend bud. ;)

This is no longer a diet, but a way of life. I basically eat ANYTHING I want, just not as much as I used too.

I eat Mexican twice a week!!! SI!

hey.. no prob man.... :)

I find myself doing the same thing.. eating so many smaller meals.. ;)

well, you just keep going Rev.. any updated photos.. maybe before and after.. 17 lbs is quite a bit..

Ya I will get some. :)

Great job Rev.....That is one thing people don't realize when they say diet. There really is no such thing as a diet. It has to be a new way of life other wise you will never lose weight and keep it off. I'm sure there isn't much nutrition in squirrel anyway. I didn't know weight watchers sold squirrel?

Congrats Reve...glad to hear that you have adopted this as a new way of life and not just a diet that will come and go. How is your wife doing? It's great having another loved one to help you keep on track.

Great job and glad to hear things are still going great with.

Adam

Congratz Rev! See...THATS why you've been eating squirrel lately. I kid you not...look it up in your weight watchers book, its in there.

WOOT REV! big applause for ya! *sorry it took me so long to read the thread finally*

My husband and I are working on it as well, since the new law for child adoption in China has a weight limit... sigh..

Anyway, this is very interesting: My husband's friend and his wife both went to law school a few years back. During that period, they both gain a whole lot of weight, being in school and absolutely no exercise, and being a heavy beer/soda drinker, it didn't help. They both probably almost double in size during those few years.

Last year, they graudated and started working. Being busy lawyers, they worked 70~90 hr weeks and of course, don't have time to exercise, or even eat right. So they started researching about weight control, guess what?? they lost 1/2 fo their weight, back to the high school bodies they had before. Man it was awesome! and they told us the "secret"...

it's simply counting calories. Instead of beef tacos, they eat fish tacos, without cheeze. Salad with lime juice instead of the fattening dressing. no more alcohol for them. we saw them last week.. we were just sooo amazed, no more bellies hanging over the belt, no more flabby arms... and they didn't even go to the gym once.

But my hubby and I are going to the gym every other day, eating right... and we hope to just be healthy.

oh and before you posted the pic of you and family.. I thought that superman avatar is a edited pic of you.. lol

well Bravo!

Update!

Down 24lbs :D

WOW! Congratulations Rev!! That is really fantastic :) I have found that when I eat healthier I FEEL so much better regardless of whether I'm losing weight as a result or not. I can definitely say that for me, eating late is a huge no-no. My in-laws were visiting from England a couple weeks ago and like typical Europeans, they like to eat late (9 or 10 at night). For the week and a half that they stayed with us we ate out and ate late and I gained 5 lbs. I still haven't fully lost that weight but have managed to lose 3 and a half lbs and I have mainly acheived that through not eating past a certain time. I find what you are doing to be very inspirational and hope that I can lose the extra weight I put on since my hubby and I married (about 15lbs). Keep us updated and I'd love to hear any pointers you may have for me :)

Congrats REV....glad to hear that you guys are sticking with it. Keep up the great job. Any before and after pics yet :) or are you holding those til later. I always used pictures as motivation as to what I didn't want to look like or go back to being like.

I totally agree with you Eco....one of the things that I did when I was "cutting" weight was to not allow myself to eat anything after 9 pm. Now if I do, it's fruit or a lowfat yogurt or something like that.

If you snack, make sure they're good snacks like fruit, yogurt, vegetables, popped popcorn (not the stuff in bag unless it's light), etc.

Great job Rev...

Thanks you two!! Man you are right i feel so much better about myself. Everybody i see comments about it and old friends notice as well. I just feel all around healthier!

Thank GOD! :D

Go to fitday.com and sign up it has everything you need rite there and its free.
It is am awesome way to track your daily intake as well as exercise/weight goals
Cardio First thing in the AM if possible will help a lot with
continued weight decline.
Remember it takes a calorie deficit of 3500 a week to loose 1 pound of body fat. that works out to only 500 cals a day.

If you need any help or start to see a plateau in weight
this is an area i know a lot about hit me up.
