Wow...that is great...I started Weight Watchers 7 weeks ago...at my 7week weigh in I was down 17 pounds so far. I think the mind set is the single biggest change. When my husband saw me taking off the weight and he was eating weight watchers recipes and not suffering he figured what the heck. We are doing it so we can enjoy our retirement together...healthier...and we don't think it's a diet to start and then stop. We are changing our eating habits, snacking on carrots instead of chips, drinking water instead of pop...lean meats, fish and chicken and lots and lots of fresh veggies. Biggest change for both of us since cutting so much sugar from our diet...I no longer think I have arthritis...no morning hand or back pain and my husbands shoulder stopped hurting. I wonder how sugar affects the joints? It's amazing how the weight just creeps up there and one day your like Holy cow...what happened as your lying on the bed just to zip your jeans.
Congrats to you both....

Thank you!!

Actually Tonya has kept it off as well as gone down. She is about 10lbs from her goal weight. I gained, but I am still down 10lbs from the start of the thread. Funny this got brought up because I started calorie crunching this week and all is well. :D This pic was taken Sunday. Pardon the crappy pic from the cell phone. Ironically this was taken at Longhorn Steak House! LOL!

Well here is my plan thus far. I have decided to eliminate sodas from my diet and drink water. :( This is something that I will have to get used to. I would love to train myself to drink diet soda, but I have tried before and the stuff is just plain NASTY! Any tips on that?

If you are looking for other tastes in a drink try tea, not sweetened tea though. Try black tea, green tea, white tea, red tea, flavored hot teas or flavored cold teas. You will find that a lot of these have natural flavor and a sweet taste but not sweet from added sugar.
I am talking about the kind you make your self though.

Goodluck!
