Shaded part losing colour?

Hey, so I have had this Bali slimer since January 14. The part that is losing colour is the part that the acro shades itself. The other side in the light looks good. Is this a normal thing or am I having another issue. Should I move it so the light shoots right down on it


by the way just fed reef roids that’s why the tanks dirty

So its mounted kind of horizontal and the light is hitting just the green side? If so, that is normal for the side not getting light to lose color/brown.

Yes that’s correct. I’ll post another photo to show the shading.

This is what happens with point source lights. This is why many add more LED clusters, T5s or other types of light. That area can die over time once the colony casts more shadows. Shadowing is real.

I’d love to add more light but not sure how to on the Red Sea max nano. Limited.
