I'm watching. Rhonda Rousey actually very comfortable in the water. Shaq looked like he had fun.

I couldn’t agree more. I loved shark week when it was all about sharks. Not celebrities, I mean I do like Shaq but on basketball tv. Dustin

My wife and I were talking about this too. Years back it used to be awesome...not it's kinda hokey. We find ourselves recording it, and then fast forwarding through much of the episodes.

They need to beef up their quality. I"ll never forget when Planet Earth came out...it was amazing!

Always watch. I feel the celebrity issue is that they need a voice. The more the better. They are using a wide range of famous athletes to draw in viewers that would not normally watch. The more people that sees the plight of these animals and that they are not mindless killers, the better. The last show on the evening is usually celebrity free.

The problem is the episodes now focus on the celebrities and how they react to the sharks........I used to learn new things every episode of shark week. Now I just learn how celebrities will react once they are put under water.

I'm watching. I work with white shark research (and other local elasmobranchs here off our coast) and I just enjoy watching Shark Week for the hilariously inaccurate moments. Luckily Shark Week has started to focus a lot more on breaking that stigma about sharks but they could definitely do without sensationalizing them
