Updated Tank Pics!!! As you can see in one of them, my Brain Coral up front got slayed by a frogspawn so I moved it. I'm optimistic that it will make a full recovery though! also for anyone interested, I shot these pictures with my Sony A6000 Mirrorless camera, no filter just white balance adjustment. (also R2R must downgrade the quality so pardon the blurriness as they were crisp when I uploaded them lol)

Well after installing the new refugium and uv sterilizer, I have determined I need to upgrade my Return pump to compensate for the extra flow needed to compensate for the added equipment as my main return into the aquarium was not flowing nearly as much as it had before. I ordered a Jebao DCP 8000 (2100GPH) pump which should be plenty plus give me room for addition if I tie in more equipment to my return line manifold. It should be in on Friday (Thanks Amazon Prime!) which will give me a weekend project!

Also, the new corals are doing great so I will try and snap some pictures of them this weekend also!

I went with the 4000 for that reason.

I am going to run the 93 cube and a display fuge and two reactors. I don't like a lot of turnover through the sump so it should be plenty.

Nice! hopefully i didn't go too big on this pump!! but i suppose i can always throttle it back.
I forgot to ask: What cement did you use on your rocks?
I can't remember the exact name off the top of my head, but I can tell you that it did not work out very well. the saltwater caused it to soften up and crumble quite a bit. luckily the main support i used for my aquascape was fiberglass rods and tons of superglue. and now that it has been running for a little over a year, the sponge and coraline have really over grown onto multiple pieces helping hold everything to gather as well! but knock on wood that it stays together for years to come!!

Return pump installed, definitely more flow but almost thinking I should have gone with the DCP10000 as a few hundred more GPH would not have hurt to have. I suppose time will tell though! I will say the completely silent and minimal vibration that a DC pump puts out is amazing!!

The ol’ cleaner shrimp gave me a heart attack today, thought he died and was getting eaten...but he just molted. Cruel cruel joke.

Replumbed the UV Sterilizer vertical instead of horizontal, easier access and eliminated air pockets inside it that I wasn’t able to get out when mounted the other way.

Had a couple 10lb jugs of miracle mud lying around so I figured I’d add one to the refugium to give the tank some more biodiversity. Thinking about adding some different varieties of pods next! The Ol’ Chaeto ball has doubled since I put it in!

Well let the battle commence, I’m officially dealing with Dinoflagellates. No good. I’ve ID’d Them as Amphidinium Dino’s. Still doing tons of research on the best way to fight them but I think I may go with the dose silicates to try to create a diatom bloom to outcompete them then let the diatom bloom run its course. I also created a YouTube video to document the ID.

Well in the spirit of starting the battle with Dino’s, my wife got me some sweet containers for my dosing regimen, to help keep my main parameters more stable! She even cut stickers out and labeled them for me too!! No more mixing on the fly!
