I've had a lot of saltwater aquariums in my time of being in this hobby (13 years) they've all been amazing (my current tank thread: https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/my-125-gal-reef-sps-lps-dominant.280525/ ) but I'm finally getting my dream and putting one in the wall of my new house that is currently under construction. It will have a small fish room behind the tank with it's own dedicated electrical breaker, fresh water and sewer drain as well as vent fan to the outside. I'm about 2 months out from the overall setup but am getting the new deadrock aquascaped and cycled! Decided to go with more of a minimalist design this go around. Will be using a 125gal again. Here are some pics of the progress. Not to much to see yet but I will keep this thread updated!

Looking slick! Any floor plans for the fish room?
Nothing specific but main plans are to have a small wash sink and 40gal water change reservoir. I'm going to be making this system as automated as possible (using my Apex) and also trying to use gravity and pumps in my favor to make carrying buckets etc a thing if the past.

After a long weekend of moving I finally got around to installing overflow boxes as well as drilled another hole for a drain line for “easy water changes” and got the stand and tank installed! I will be starting on plumbing over the next few days and hopefully will get water in it this weekend! Also I’d like to note that I will be putting a thin layer of styrofoam under the aquarium to help make sure we don’t end up with pressure points!

Started the plumbing tonight!! I was able to get the drain lines mostly done and I should be picking up the sink tomorrow so I can finish plumbing in the water change drain! I also still need to finish return lines and build the shelf above the aquarium to mount my water change tank as well! Hopefully I can get it finished up tomorrow so I can get water in this weekend!!

Plumbing is almost done!!! All that is left is mount and plumb the water change tank above the aquarium and connect float valves and the RO/DI System!! So close!!
