I actually changed up my strategy the other day when it comes to max advance length on my Reefmat 1200. I had changed it to something like 6 inches to try to preserve the motor, but I've been burning through rolls of fleece like crazy.

Then it occurred to me that a new motor is $25 and a roll of fleece is $30. So I turned the max advance length back down to 2 inches.
