Shops in indianapolis

Hello all, goin to indianapolis for the day to check out the area and was wondering what all shops are around? Have googled and searched and was thinking modern aquatics. Was wondering if theres any other recommended shops or hobbies selling frags in the area

The Reef is one in Indianapolis I believe. I'm in the Lafayette, IN Area.

The reef is the worst store in town, as far as ownership and pricing. Owner is horrible to people. Selection is decent. They have a great food (both frozen and live) selection.

Modern Aquatics is the best. Jeremy is a great guy and has the most reasonable pricing. Selection is a bit more limited but he will order you anything you want at the best pricing around.

Ok yall, made it to modern aquatic. Got me 7 pieces for a very reasonable price. Jeremy is definitely a cool dude and will be coming back again in the near future! Will be taking pics when corals are home and settled in and writing a better review haha

Crazy how I called Modern Aquatics for a quote and they never got back to me. I called them several times for a week and they never once answered me. Just wanted a price on a Waterbox. I was disappointed !

Wouldn’t understand why they wouldn’t call back. It’s an hour trip and to visit a place that won’t call back or answer I will have to pass. Ended up buying from Waterbox.com. Just my personal experience.

Yeah just came out of the reef hands empty. First thing we saw was a display tank of dying coral... considered buying a couple torches because they had a gold one mixed in with their euphyllia that a head had recently died on for 100... considered cutting it off and dipping, but changed our mind because it was too risky. They also had a green tentacle pink tip indo for 130 with about 10 heads, but kinda felt sick by the other prices and conditions of most of the other corals. Just decided to skip out on that

Update, changed my mind and went back to the reef and got the indo torch. Guy at my local shop said it was a good deal and that if I was that on the fence, hed off to cut off a few heads for his shop for 50 a piece

That’s very interesting. I was tempted to call back from a different number. I called all throughout the day at different times to make sure. I wouldn’t doubt that the owner is a “great guy” but it’s very weird not getting a response. Especially when I tried as much as I did and even when he has my number. Oh well.
