A guy has this aquarium for sale for only $125 OBO. I've seen this type for growing out hard corals, but that's not really what I'd be interested in, for now at least.
What kind of fish, corals and critters could be a great tank for me ?

Clams would be great, or a Hermit Crab or other crabs, with a fish as a symbiotic host would be awesome. I LOVE,....those hosts !!!

Please give me your ideas.

I just picked up two of these tanks for $150 each brand new. I think you'd have to decide how much value is in that 2x4 stand. I can easily build that stand, so I don't place a lot of value on it, but if you're not comfortable with that kind of work, this stand may well be a good value to you.

I see this one is drilled from the bottom up, which makes me think it was used as a frag tank. You can use it anyway you like, but you'll have to either deal with the pipes coming up, or seal up those holes and use an overflow that pulls from the side.

It's only 10" high, which can be a challenge. I think that's even a bit short for a frag tank, but you can't beat the price on these tanks.

I guess I'm not much help here, except to say that you could do a lot with this tank, as long as you're aware of that 10" height.

Following along to hear what others think.

Good luck!

Yeah, 10" tall is short. I've never had this type of tank before, so I don't understand why a lot of these "frag tanks" have the drains are in the middle of the tank ? Why not drill them in the corners or one in the back ?
But, he did offer me $100 for everything. I didn't plan on having a SPS grow out tank this soon, but for $100 bucks, it's pretty cool.

What other reef/fish/coral things could I use it for ?
Fish jumping would be an issue for some.

I've always wanted a "volcano" tank, if I could arrange it artistically enough though. lol
I'd love a crab to climb up the volcano, a symbiotic fish with his crab (or shrimp) to house under the volcano. Maybe a Diamond Goby, snails etc...

Please give me your ideas !
