short in light

So my light has had a short for a while but I didn't think it was a bad problem its went about 7 months no problem but recently it got worse it electrocuted all of my fish and now they are all messed up and won't eat or swim really but none have died in the two weeks since I'm not sure theres anything I can do to save them but any suggestions?

Replace the light.

I did replace my light and the new one is hanging from my ceiling
