I am betting this identification won't be easy, but throwing it out there anyway. A good friend of mine got a severe allergic reaction to this algae, on contact skin turned red, blistered within hours and took weeks to heal. It looks green, and was floating on top of the media basket in his tank. We borrowed a microscope and got some of it for samples. If anyone has any clue what's in these shots, and why the reaction was so bad, please share your thoughts. My guess is long strands is hair algae, but what's the smaller spider-like animal?
