Recently completed a cycle with dry rock. Hair algae appeared for about a month, but in the last 10 days or so has started to die off and clear up.

My nitrates are dropping pretty consistently. Phosphates are hovering at .06. Nitrates this morning were .5 on my Hanna. Lowest it's been yet. I'm sure hair is consuming some of that, which is fine, I just would like to not run into cyano or dino's at some point due to no nitrate.

Should I start dosing nitrate to avoid any issues at this point? Only 3 fish in the 140G system currently, so I guess I could feed.. Dosing nitrate might be a bit more effective?

The fish would enjoy more feedings. I would do that as long as the phosphates are not an issue. If you have corals, I'd dose aminos.

Good trouble: Have mushrooms ever become pests in your aquarium?
