newb here. tanks been up for about 4 months.

calc, mag, and alk are in check and somewhat stable. however I had never checked my phosphate levels until today and the salifert test I used had no color change which indicates 0 phosphate in my tank. I understand the desired level is 0.3 ppm for most. should I dose my tank to add a little?

also should add my tank is fallow atm for another 2 months due to an ICH outbreak I could not contain.

I would try ghost feeding the tank to see if you can get some phosphate to build up naturally. If not then I would dose phosphate.

I do feed a little. reef roids every three days and target feed my elegance and Duncan with Misis shrimp once a week and dump the remaining into the tank

If you decide to dose . Be careful. the tank will drink the stuff at 1st until it reaches saturation . You get used to dosing so much. Then BAM the po4 skyrockets & you can get an algae out break .

I like around .05. Why not just add a few fish and feed until you start seeing some detectable PO4? Do you have corals in the tank? How long has it been setup? It's hard to give advice with little info.

Yes I have corals. Elegance, zoas, Duncan and two hammers. tanks been up for about 4 months and I can’t add fish right now because of an ICH outbreak I had about a month ago
