Hello all! I’ve had my tank running for three years, I do really want to add a pistol shrimp/watchman goby pair. I, however have a pretty intricate rock scape & don’t have anything glued together. It’s stable enough where I drained half the water out of my tank, and slid it to another location, filled it back up, and nothing moved. I’m wondering if you all think I’d be okay to add them in the way it is? Or if I’d have to take everything out, dry it all, and glue. I’ve attached picture of what it looks like now. The only fear I have is, whenever I take my rock out, I can’t ever figure out how the heck I had it stacked before. No matter how many picture I try to take :( and I really love the look of what I have now. If it comes down to it, I will pass on the addition of the pair.

Agreed; things might shift if not on the bottom glass. That said it may be 'glued' together already due to calcification. Looks like you have some good coralline growth. Things will definitely shift if the shrimp digs out the underside of a rock. I made this mistake on my last setup; rocks on the glass on my latest and nothing has shifted...yet...

Ive had a few rock slides in my big tank with them being on the glass. But thats because I have two eels and an engineer goby that hit the supports just right. Ive honestly never found a glue that works and holds, I think they would be okay if it is on the glass

Is the rock sitting on the sand or the glass?

If it's sand, that's a problem if someone starts excavating.
It is on the sand:( do you think I could potentially push it down/wiggle it onto the glass? Or would I have to take everything out

Thank you! When I get home later on I’m going to see if I can get the base rocks onto the bottom by “wiggling” them down. No luck I guess I’ll have to pass on my own little bulldozer
