Should I remove the dead mushroom coral? Is it dead?

I received... this. I believe that the white is dead dead. If anyone can confirm I will remove it. I just didn't want to remove anything that is white they may recover.

It’s not dead till it’s all gone even if there is a little bit of color it’s good but to tell you some parts are dying

Due to my ignorance it appears I may have killed or at minimum caused additional stress to the one that appeared to have a been torn. I have definitely learned a valuable lesson. The lesson being wait until lights out and see if anything glows. This mushroom may end up being one of my favorite night time mushrooms. Not a lot to look at during the day but the edge of the mushroom is neon orange under blue light. There is still some neon under blue light.

That's said. For the white segments that seem dead. If they do at some point lose that last bit of coloring then how should I go about removing the dead parts so they don't decay in the tank?
