I got some of these little black and white legged hermit crabs as part of a package from ipsf.com. I didn't really want them but they came with the shipment so I put them in my tank. That was about 6 months ago. Now I'm dealing with a few acan frags that are not doing well, tissue is receding from them. I'm not sure why they are doing poorly but am troubleshooting. I keep seeing these hermit crabs on top of these poor acans - not sure if they are just eating necrotic tissue off the dying corals or if they might be the reason the corals are dying. Do these things eat live coral flesh? Thanks for the help!

I saw a hermit eating my acan years ago, I wish I filmed it. But I don't keep hermits in my coral tanks anymore.

If you still have them and they need a home, I’ll gladly take them if you’re in Northern California!
