The front side is lightly textured kind of like a golf ball. The center know is held on by a magnet on each side.

As seen below the back side is smooth. You can see the magnet in the center for the knob. This way I can easily remove the know if their are going to be kids around or for a cleaner look. Put the go on effortlessly to remove the panels. You can also see one of the two magnets that hold the panels on along with the angle brackets a put in the corner of my stand that they stick to. All 3 magnets are glued on the back side.

nice! I was thinking of doing something along those lines. even with a wood stand you can counter sink the magnets to get a flush look.
thanks for posting!

Don't know if this qualifies as 'modern' feel ..... but it's incredibly strong.

Thanks. I was originally going to have wood panels, but these were inexpensive, quick and easy. I still may do wood ones someday, but I am pretty happy with these.

wow great design i like the use of the plywood then on to 2x4 for the center support. I bet that is a beast to move. built to last.

The advantage of plywood is it doesn’t deflect and won’t warp.
