This is my stand I had built made with solid oak wood and stained to match up with furniture in my living room. Stained glass was based off a drawing I did and will eventually be lit up by refugium light.Dimensions are 48x20.25x39, and a 105 gallon rimless StarFire will sit flush on top of it [emoji4]. Sump will hold an additional 50 gallons with matching SCH 40 red PVC hard pipe and grey SCH 80 fittings. Door on right side of stand opens up to a compartment that will house my chiller and all electronics. A back panel can be removed and screwed back in to allow access to sump and plumbing if need be.

Not something I built from scratch, but this is a stand I put a lot of elbow grease into.

I purchased a roughly 60 gallon acrylic frag tank from a LFS that was going out of business. The tank measures 4' x 2' x 1'. It has a square tube steel stand. The stand was in real rusty shape when I got it:

I took an angle grinder to it to clean up the old paint and the majority of the rust. Then I took it to a powder coaters for a final media blast and coating. The color is lollipop candy purple:

Wow on the stand.. Where did you get the glass for it? I was thinking of doing something similar with my stand but with etched glass but could not find anything.

@shred5 thank you for compliment on stand. I got a quote from 2 staind glass shops locally and just went with least expensive. Whole process was pretty cool, I actually picked out every single color that was used in final product sheet by sheet.

@143MPCo thank you for compliment. I also thought it was funny how my Porsche Alloy rim came out dead center in back of stand [emoji4][emoji4]

That is really cool... About how much did it cost?.. If you dont want to say I understand too.. I think I might call around, Problem is I am doing a over sized stand and it has really big doors..
Thanks for the info..

Awesome stands, ty all for posting pictures, sure helps us with limited skills lol!

Hi IdahoNano I live in Idaho Falls. I have Zero skills building and have never done crafty stuff in my life. But dangit I WANTED A BLUE fish tank stand. I went crazy looking for one I could buy. Finally I broke down and did it myself. I got a cheap $115 MDF bow front stand, then spent $45 on paint supplies after watching a youtube video on how to paint

furniture.

Here is the result. See even us with limited or no skill can paint. The hardest part was delaying my tank setup 30 days so I could fully cure the paint. I now have the only 46 gallon blue bow front tank stand in the world MUHAHAHA. I do plan to add a sea horse pull knob to the door.

I built this custom stand for my 57 gallon tank with a 40 gallon sump. The stand is made out of poplar wood with a 3/4" birch veneer plywood back. The top is fir with an inlay. The sump can be access from three sides and can be pulled out from the front if needed. I hope you like it.
