Show me your mixing station/work area.

Looking for idea for storing my Brute cans out of sight, while still having room to frag/dip close to the sink.

Wife is tired of seeing the cans all the time, and I’m not super handy when it comes to carpentry. So whatever I come up with will be ugly.

Have you thought of building a workbench over them? it would give you a ton of room for all sorts of reefing-activities, and you could do anything from a magnetic front panel to hide the cans, to even a wife-approved curtain on a rod or even long bamboo blinds.

My mixing station was just a few Brute cans in my garage. Nothing organized or special. My dream would be a workspace in a room behind the tank. BUT......That would require another house!

lol mine currently looks similar. Also in in h finished basement. My slop sink is much smaller though.

What sucks for me is the water heater and furnace are in the same spot.

What makes that difficult. Is the space where the RO unit is is right next to the slop sink, and the furnace and hot water heater.

All the drains for the water in the house all go to this corner too. Not comfortable running RO tubing all over the basement.

Plan on getting rid of some old stuff. On the opposite wall, and then I can build a work bench there. Which would be great for dragging.

Same. My wife and I both work from home. I work in the unfinished basement, she works upstairs. What’s nice is my tank is in the basement, what’s not nice is Illinois winters in an unfinished basement. So I often find myself day dreaming of a house with a dedicated office with in tank wall. And fishroom on the other side to make maintenance and everything easier. Maybe one day lol.

Explain to your wife that because she didn't like the Brute can look, you made an 'executive decision' and bought horizontal leg containers. (By the way, they are stackable, if for some reason you wanted to go upwards.)

My wife allows me to use part of the bathroom as my mixing station. I use 2nd brute to store waste water from the RODI unit and use for cleaning buckets and stuff.

Explain to your wife that because she didn't like the Brute can look, you made an 'executive decision' and bought horizontal leg containers. (By the way, they are stackable, if for some reason you wanted to go upwards.)
