Friendly competitors. Neither are aggressive, the triggers run the tank.

The eel is a little over 20”, and the puffer’s grown quickly. He’s now about 6-7”. That pic is almost a year old but one of my favorites.

Love the toby puffers! My Bluespotted. He loves eating from the Nori clip, but will eat some Reef Frenzy and even a pellet or 2.

Here are my two puffers - they're the reason I got into the saltwater hobby. I've since acquired other fish as well as coral, but they're still my favourites. Awesome personalities.

Cool puffers, what are they called? Have you had any issues with them and your coral?

They are spotted green puffers. I’ve had them for half a year in brackish and 2 years in salt. They have quite the reputation for aggression but so far I’ve been lucky and they have been model citizens. I still have my original CUC of snails, hermits. However I did lose an acro crab after a few weeks when he decided to leave his coral hideout to go for a walk:( I have a mixed reef & they have no interest in eating coral/bullying other fish.
A side benefit - my vermetids worms have suddenly all disappeared, tubes and all! ;Joyful

Was something happening to make these guys puff, that's a sign of extreme stress. Is that a starry on the bottom, he looks a bit thin, is he a new addition.

How often do they puff? Mine does periodically, and it seems to go in spurts
