There are a lot of coral show off threads, but none for Caulastrea. I am not surprised as I feel this is an underrated coral. As I approach filling my tank, I plan this to be one of the first species added. So fellow reefers, please show them off, curvata, echinulata, furcata, whatever you have. I would especially enjoy seeing colonies and different colored specimens together.

EDIT: Of course, these are also known as Trumpet and Candy Cane corals.

Okay, so this is a “borrowed” picture I found while researching Caulastrea. I forget whose it was so feel free to claim it. I see lots of Caulastrea in tanks so let’s see some more!

Amazing guys and gals!!

May I ask what you all are doing to get these major growth developments?

How far up in the tank?
Lighting?
Feeding?
Flow?
Super clean tank or a lil dirty?

Thanks in advance! I love my green ones, but other than feeders coming out at night and plumping up slightly since I moved mine up towards the light a little, I am not getting any growth.

I want some fattys!!!
