I did 2 islands in my 150. I cemented

base rock together to make a dome shaped structure to allow for the best possible water movement around the rock. Also to give fish and inverts a place to hide and swim through. I topped it off with 150lbs of real live rock. It's all sitting on 5" of Special grade/TBS live sand.

I like the crevasse, to peer through, flow is probably very good! Purple looks happy :D

Nice job.

Tall tank, built inside tank bringing pieces down one at a time, placing, then climbing out to view, then back in to glue! :anguished-face:

That tank is really amazing. It will be interesting to see how you get along managing such a large vertical tank. Looking forward to seeing the progress!

Below is mine I just completed. It’s not in the tank yet, but soon. Tank is 72”x36”x30”. This scape is about 58”x26”x16”. I may add a bit to the larger rock to increase the height a bit more for more dimension.

Which types of ecoscape rocks did you go with? I was thinking of going with a box of each of their types. I think their rock is awesome and super lightweight

No, each box were exactly the same pieces. But even so, very easy to build them in different patterns and directions and I think it would be impossible to tell any 2 pieces were the same on my aquascape. Absolutely love the rock.
That’s great to hear. Can’t wait to get mine now

Working on a new build. Display is 48x30x27 tall. I’ve had some old Haitian rock sitting around and topped off from my friend’s supply. Sitting at about 140 lbs dry. The tape sitting on the angle is representing 2” of sand that will go in once the base rocks are placed.

Idea was to maximize the space with some good open sand. Also habitat for fish to help with any aggression. My hope is to have 3-ish tangs and a ton of smaller fish. Mixed reef, SPS heavy.
