My PBT was about 12-13 years old when I had to rehome him. I regret doing so. :(

must be painful to let him go. I feel you man. I had a blue tang who really showed a lot of attachment with me but I had to let him go too when I was moving out of the country. this was over a decade ago. Now I'm back in the country for good I really hope to keep all my fish for the rest of their days.

This fireclown is 29 or 30 and his mate is a few years younger.

Wow! 30 yr old clown??!!!! No way! this is definitely the oldest fish so far in the thread! how cool is that! I wonder what is the maximum life they live?

6 year old Midnight and Wyoming white clownfish they aren't in a 17g anymore, moved to a 40b and soon will be in my 125g. Hopefully I can keep them healthy for years to come. I wouldn't say they've grown tremendously, but they are a little bigger.

My starfish came out of another reefers tank where she lived for 5 years. I’ve only had it a few months.

A 5 yr old mocha, you must have gotten them at the hay day of the designer clown fever!

Excuse the lighting my bi color parrotfish I have had him for 5 years 2 years ago he was the only fish who survived my tank wipeout

glad to see this guy made it out of your tank wipeout! would love to see another photo of this fish in full glory if you have one!

I have two pairs and yes basically instantly. :)

My other pair are black ones, I trust my lfs implicitly and they know how I introduce my fish, float bag add water over X time and upend the bag so they swim out, the new little boy swam calmly out of the bag, basically kissed the original and that was it! :)

I'm curious to find out the life expectancy for echinoderms. Has your brittle split or tried to spawn? I've caught my brittle stars spawn- especially after using the lunar cycling light program.

This one has been going strong for many years in my reef! It's never split and I've never seen it spawn (but I barely see it anyways other than an arm or 2 always hanging out). Occasionally I'll feed it and hang onto the food just to get it to come out. It's well over a foot arm to arm, maybe 1.5'

Amazing, I think most people don't give fish enough credit for how long they can potentially live.

I see it has some new growth on the legs, did its leg get nipped off by some fish? I know my trigger used to take a chunk out of star legs. Now that the fish are (very) well fed I believe the stars are safe.

My oldest currently still alive in my 125 is our engineer goby named engineer. He was relieved as a free gift with an order from swf.com March 25 2009. Started out in a 90 and moved with us (new house) and new tank for him. He was only a couple inches then and is now probably around 14 inches.
