What do you do if your fish gets ich after they enter the dt even if they were in a qt?
A UV sterilizer is almost a must with tangs. I have had some luck with Dr. G's anti-parasitic food.
Personally I think that moving the fish out of the DT and into QT is too much stress on the fish. Dips and QT for all new tank mates will help prevent adding new parasites.
Maintaining a healthy, stable environment for your fish, making sure the tank is big enough for the fish and making sure the new fish is not being harassed will also help. Managing the stress of the fish will help it's ability to fight off the parasite.
