yeh the red velvets are sweet - my lfs has a pretty big one - I think he wants like $149 for it. But it sure is pretty!

ouch that is pretty high for one...i am only paying 50 for mine..my laboutei was cheaper than that

Yeh he is a little pricey! That sounds like a good price for a laboutei! I need to come up to MI for my wrasses!!lol!

got this sweet new flasher wrasse..the laboutei has been displaying some to it so might have a problem there but he is like that to any fish excepet the lineatus..and there is never any fin nipping just displaying but the ne flasher is in its specimen cup now and i will keep him in there for a few days..has shown some really sweet color and was flashing alot at the store..they had it for a month and i kept my eye on it..well here is the new p. filamentosus..filament flasher wrasse

you have had some very nice ones..i really loved that lineatus you had...i can't wait to get pics of this one flashing like what it was at the store...i have only seen that color in a book once..most filaments have nice color change when flashing but this one had some that was as nice as a blue or line-spot flashers

wow, its either your laboutei and rhomboid are huge or your filament is tiny!
nice wrasses
does anyone have a rose fin fairy? i want a pair of those and a pair of laboutei's

my laboutei is very large 5-6"..this flasher is one of the larger ones that i have seen in quite some time most that i have seen have been pretty small..here are a few more pics i took tonight

the more that i have looked at this fish i am not sold that it is a filamented i am thinking i could be a hybrid of some kind..i sent someone an email on it to get a postive id..but either way still a nice fish..sometime the hybrids can have better colors when flashing

possibly a hybrid with filamentosus x flavianalis
but still looks like a filamentosus to me
any reason why you think its a hybrid?
MAN thats a large laboutei!

very nice ben..that is one sweet looking wrasse..i was looking at mine more fate and i am pretty sure it is a filamented not a hybrid..it is around 3.5"..don't know why i thought it was a hybrid

i have no clue either but there is a hybrid wrasse that is exremely similar to the filament

the reason i was thinking that is because the anal fin is close to that of a yellowfin...i got someone that is checking this out for me so i should know in a few days
