Does anybody have experience keep pistol shrimp with ornamental shrimp like sexy shrimp or pederson shrimp?

In terms of more advanced shrimp caretaking, could pistol shrimp and harlequin shrimp live in the same system peacefully?

For more reference I have been in the hobby for awhile now and am considering taking on a more challenging aquarium but two species that I really love are a yasha goby / candy cane pistol shrimp pair and harlequin shrimp

Your aware the Harlequin will eat nothing but starfish correct?
I've mixed shrimp but never had a pistol. I currently have 2 peppermint, a coral banded and a Harlequin in my 65g.
Yeah I'm aware, I've always loved them but never wanted to commit because of that reason but I may be building a new system soon from scratch and figured I could add a starfish holding compartment to my sump while I'm at it

Bump! Still not sure if a small candy cane pistol shrimp would be ok with harlequin shrimp

I’ve had a harlequin shrimp for the better part of a year in my 135 gal. I haven’t seen any full size Asterina stars in the display for months. I do see small stars on the glass in the mornings. I think they are repopulating from my refugium.

I'll definitely keep some astria in my sump to drop in the display tank but because it would be a much smaller systems, I'll for sure also have to go the chocolate chip star fish route

Have you ever had any pistol shrimp or other snapping shrimp in that tank with them?

The Astrias will reproduce in a good sized refugium and pop up in the tank on their own.

I’ve got cleaners, fire shrimp and peppermints. Never kept a pistol shrimp.

Based on what you've seen with your Harlequin shrimp do you think they'd be able to hold their own to know to avoid a pistol shrimp in a smaller setup?

I have a 40 galloon tank with a Pistol shrimp and yellow watchman, stunk cleaner, and 4 peppermint shrimp (among other things).

I have only seen the pistol shrimp more than a body length from the opening of his cave once and on that occasional, he went absolutely ape throughout the tank because I think he got lost! Pretty sure he's a homebody.
