Today I purchased a banded shrimp and a cleaner shrimp. It’s for a 55 gallon tank. They picked their cave / rock and have been there for over 6 hours now. Do they take awhile to come out and we’ll clean? Or they lazy ;) or does it take them awhile to get acclimated?

Okay
1. They do take a while to come out, I’ve had a blood red cleaner shrimp for a few months and it’s only just coming out
2. The banded shrimp won’t clean but the cleaner will if Fish want to be cleaned
3. Yes shrimp take a long time to acclimate that’s why we drip acclimate them

Takes awhile at first. Really only comes out if a fish wants to be cleaned or feeding time. I have skunks but I've had a scarlet

no experience with the coral banded ones, but i have a skunk cleaner and a blood red shrimp. skunk is super social, blood red not so much

i've never seen them clean my fish not for lack of want, the fish don't seem interested
