He's was looking really good until recently and I'm not sure what's up. I did do a water change a few days ago and the only real difference I can think of is I used my new rodi kit ( think 2nd use) as before I was mixing salt with walmart distilled water. I Just noticed the alk is higher than usual (9.2dkh) and tank is about 5 months old.

Mine closes up and sheds every now and then. Just keep things stable and invest in an RODI system when able.

Alright thanks, I'm keeping close watch and he does look way better than 2 days ago. I just switched to rodi because I was worried about tds in walmart distilled. I had a really bad diatom bloom for almost 2 months and tank now looks great and is gaining coraline. Hope he perks up soon the tank really helps my anxiety and depression just staring at it

Same, zone out watching my nems all the time. Have the tank right below my TV in the living room wall.
