I'd like to have alternative options to replace the AC pumps in my Red Sea Max E260 whenever they fail. Unfortunately the space they need to fit in is about 3.5x5.5" inches. For reference, I believe the included pumps are rebranded Sicce 2.0s that measure 4.9x3.4". The EDC 3.0 will fit but not with the included intake cover. I can fit a 1.5" low profile bulkhead strainer over the male threads on the intake and it fits in the compartment but I don't know if this will limit flow and cause issues. Another option would be to use a 90 degree elbow. I could also just not use anything over the intake as the pump is under 6" foam and generally not getting debris in that area.
