I recently replaced my return pump with a Sicce Syncra 3.0 and the thing vibrates like crazy and is pretty loud. Its not touching the sides the of the sump, and is sitting flat on the suction cups it came with, nor is the return hosing touching the sump side.

The previous pump was a Rio and it didn't vibrate this badly or made such a loud noise and may just switch back to the Rio unless I can get this Sicce pump to quiet down.

Any ideas?

check to see if the impeller is attached correctly. Or exchange it from where you purchased it.

I’m using a Sicce 2.0 and it’s pretty quite but I wouldn’t call it dead silent. I can still hear a faint hum. No vibration on mine though. Something sounds wrong with the one you got.

I have several Sicce Syncra Silent pumps. While they are not completely silent they do run with little vibration and are quiet. How much back pressure do you have? Depending on the type of return plumbing you have it is possible to have an undesirable harmonic develop. If you run the pump in a bucket of water does it still vibrate badly?

Assuming the pump is not over-loaded you could have a bad impeller and/or bearing issue. Sicce US was extremely responsive when I had a similar issue with a new 3.0 pump and promptly sent me a new impeller kit.
