Do not buy this UV sterilizer! I went to replace my bulb and found its leaching plastics/tar substance in my tank. Yes it is plumbed correctly. If you have been running this unit for a few months you need to inspect it.

I’ve been having issues with my Acros for the past few months and I think I finally found the culprit.

Not sure if it was your post but saw similar issue posted a couple days ago. ICP test showed Tin iirc and they found the same black substance in the lines. Might want to send a test out to confirm what leached.

That actually makes a lot of sense. I did an icp a few months back and found high tin. Ran Cuprisorb and went back to 0. I’m sure it’s back if I did another one. Just going to do many water changes/get more Cuprisorb/ and see what’s left after that I suppose
