I hate using the "emergency" tag, but this is happening quickly and I am freaking out a little. Since last night my sinularia has become partially covered in what looks like fungus. Or maybe it has swollen up in areas due to some type of irritation? I don't know what it is. (edit: it looks more like it is swollen to me just now, based on the dot's on the area of concern) I don't have a qt tank and there is another sinularia right next to it. So far it is unaffected. I will try to move it, but it's a small tank. This is a softies tank (1 lps). It shed not long ago and never looks like this before or after. Sorry for the bad pictures, but it is at the back of the tank. It's in good flow and been in this spot for months. Cleaned the pump, so flow increased some last week. Any ideas?

Salinity: 1.026
Amm: 0
Nitrate: 15
Phos: .01
pH: 8.1
Alk: 7.9

@Peace River any thoughts about this or who could help?
Could we get a picture a bit further back? I'm not convinced that is a sinularia. Looking at mine, very different structure.

I have never seen those "cobweb" looking spots before.

I'm not seeing anything specifically wrong in these pictures. I don't see any areas where there are polyps missing or flesh that appears to have necrosis. It is possible that post shed this coral has decided that it's very happy.
If anything based on water parameters imight even recommend bumping up your phosphates a touch as you could be walking a fine line before dinos.
Maybe others will see something I'm missing.

The first picture is of the one that I am concerned about. It's difficult to see the white puffy areas in this picture. The second one is of the coral it originally came from.

Good trouble: Have mushrooms ever become pests in your aquarium?
