Any one ever use Silicone greese when performing maintance on thier Jebao or Icecap Gyres. was just watching a video on the maintance and the guy was using Silicone greese. Is it safe for my reef tank?

They make a food grade o-ring lubricant. Brs sells it.

I use it when I do a deep clean on my powerheads and I use it on my freshwater. Get the food grade one and use sparingly. A little goes a long way.

my skimmer cup was leaking at the neck no matter how well the cup was fastened. a very small amount of silicon grease worked around the ring gasket and its been fine ever since.

Cool, I have some of the BRS product that I use for the O-rings on my RO/DI canisters - never thought to use it on that other stuff too...

If you are a plumber and work with pumps and fittings with "O" rings you have cans of this stuff . Works great. I use it a lot. RODI "O" rings. Pool Plumbing. Bulkheads ect....
