Update.. I got a bunch of new fish so I've upped the feeding which in return is creating more growth.. So that's made it a little easier to tell.. I've come to the conclusion that the Cree LED bulb is getting a pretty significant growth over the CFL. So I went on Geek (wish.com) and picked up a couple of these Bridgelux LED grow bulbs ($4 each) and swapped out the CFLs.. I'll let you all know if they do better..

Love the setup and as I am designing my new system I am considering the addition of a DIY scrubber. I like what you have done here with the boxes and was thinking how to do something similar, my question though is how much of a PIA is it to get the screens our to clean? Thanks and nice setup!

I left the top open so it's super easy to get to the screens. It takes me less than a minute to swap the screen out.
