Hi guys, I hope everyone is safe and well!

Quick one from me today. After 'inheriting' my reef tank a few months ago, I've decided to finally add something to it so I've ordered some small soft corals!

Exciting I know!

My question is, I've bought a small tank for quarantine, have a simple internal filter and thermostat... BUT, should I also place a piece of live rock in there to act as Bio filter?

It's only a 12l tank (2.6gal) and will only be used for the 3 frags which I've bought.

I know not everyone quarantines their corals, but I'm so apprehensive about just placing them in the DT and I just want to tick as many good housekeeping boxes as possible:)

Thanks all, and have a *Fintastic* day!

Following.. I was at LFS today and was told to dip them for sure even if its for a day. Most critters of any would of come out by this time. I can't remember what they recommended to put in tank. But can fond out or im sure there is a lot more specialist on here that could be more help. I know that I will be dipping all my corals.

Whoops, forgot to mention that I'll be dipping prior to quarantine! Thanks Rusty for the reminder! So far I just have a mushroom in my quarantine tank, the other 2 frags should be arriving today :)

Since most corals get most of what they need thru light I would add a good light.
If you dont feed them then there is no reason for a biofilter. If you do feed them then water changes and siphoning out the excess should be enough.
