I want to set up a 40g breeder, but my live rock has unpleasant looking spirorbid worms. Someone told me a sixline will help decrease them. I also hear sixlines are c*cks.

Not sure on complete stocking but I'm afraid to add a sixline after the stories I hear. What do you guys recommend?

spirorbid worms are harmless filter feeders. Never heard six lines eating them

I have a six line "Gill" and he's ok. I was worried about him giving "Iro" my mandarin hassles when I added him, but no problems. I love the way he zooms around the tank.

Sixlines are great fish provided you have an environment for them. They are constantly foraging, hunting, swimming, active, looking for things to eat or when you are not looking to get into trouble. Sort of like a puppy. You leave a puppy or younger dog unattended and bad things happen. They are great fish but again have a jaded history much like a Damsel.

Having said that I wouldn't recommend one in a 40 breeder. That has a great foot print but you will need a lot of rock with nooks and crannies to make it feel at home. If you don't then again that leads to one thing and another. Better to be safer than sorry than have to try and remove it later.

Sixlines are very hardy and fun to watch. The way they sleep is super cool too! Look it up! Have no problems with mine. I have a yellow Tang ,Mandarin, diamond goby as of now:)
