Hey everyone. So I've upgraded my tank to 280litre with a 80 litre sump(building). I'm a bit stuck on how big my return and overflow should be. My return pump will be 3000 lph. I was thinking 1" return and 2 overflows 1 1/4". So I have one full Syphon and one in case of blockage.

Please help.

Thank you

Looks like a sound plan to me and will be a nice 'Herbie' overflow system that way. If you have not drilled yet you could get away with a smaller emergency drain, even a 1" will handle the volume.

Cheers, Todd

Thank you Todd that's excellent. It will be the back of my tank that's drilled as the base is toughened so can't be drilled. But still it's the same principle I think.
