My protein skimmer has been working great set up in a compartment in my sump that the water level never changes. But here for the past two days it's been filling up with almost clean water compared to what it normally does and I'm not sure why. Now the water is discolored but no where near what it normally looks like. Does anyone know what could cause this. I have not added anything to the tank out of the norm so I'm lost as to what could cause it

Sounds like wet skimming. Three possibilities. Air flow increase. Water height increase in skimmer. Something in the water.
