Skimmer for 93g under $400

Looking for the best skimmer under $400 for a 93 cube heavy bio.

A few things to consider .Do you have a sump yet ? What are the compartment dim's . Are you going to use a HOB unit ?
Skimmers come in all different sizes and you certainly wouldn't want one that doesn't fit in the sump you have.
The height of the stand matters too . Some skimmers can be too tall or too cumbersome to remove for mait .
I am sure once you have the measurements figured out someone will be more than happy to chime in on a good skimmer choice .

I have the reef octopus diablo 6" with Italian pump on the same tank and love it. It just fits in the sump under the tank

looks like it's retired but the height is 22 inches I wouldn't go over 20 unless your building the stand or it's in the basement

Had the Diablo on a 75 with 20 gal sump. Never really collected a steady amount of skim. Was on and off. Was told by Coralvue that it really is intended for a 90 gal minimum, and honestly performed better on a larger than 90 tank.

I ended up going with a BM Curve 7 and loved it.

Since you are looking at that . Try looking at the Coral Box d500 or 700 DC cone skimmers . Reefbreeders carries them . A lot of bang for the buck imho.
BTW ..Hey there PaulC since you have a curve 7 and a RLSS 6i on similar volumes ,which one do you prefer ?
Joel . I remember when PaulC and I were working on the Coralvue skimmer it was running at the required height by their specs. He has a Aqueon?Flex sump that is adjustable on the sump level heights .The sump height had to be adjusted again for the Curve 7 . Hopefully he'll chime in later for height conformation .

Aquamaxx is a good skimmer too . The footprint changes a lot from the 1 to 2 model . I like the small wine bottle bubble plate .

. In my circle of reef buddies 5 out of 8 own an RLSS . One owns 2 .lol .It's basically a JNS body with the DC pump .

If you're still up for suggestions the best skimmer I've ever ran is the reef octopus classic space saver. Amazing skimmer. Pulling crap since I got it.
