I have a pico 7 gallon with a 2 gallon refugium. I am in need of suggestions for an external skimmer of some sort. Any ideas?

A common approach for pico and small nano tanks is to skip the skimmer and just use regular water changes instead. Good luck!

I do regular water changes and have since the set up, but I feed heavy now and need an additional nutrient export as I can't do multiple a week. I might go for the AWC system.

I think Tunze has some nano skimmers (look at 9001 and 9004) that can be used as either internal or external. As you suggested AWC may also be a reasonable solution. Good luck!
