skimmer gph for replacement pump

Ok, so I'm well aware of the lack of performance, but I was givin an instant ocean protein skimmer but I need to get a pump for it since it's pump was bad. Just wondering what gph replacement pump I should get. It's just to hold me over till early next year. I have a 55g tank if that matters . Thanks guys
