First, I want to mention I am not a weak person. I am very tough. Very strong. Very 'if I pull this any tighter it's gonna pop off' type person

But HOW ON EARTH DO YOU PULL THIS FOOL OFF

I CANT FOR THE LIFE OF ME GET IT OFF.

IT LAUGHS AT MY WEAKNESS
MY HUSBAND ALSO HAS STRUGGLED
ITS RUDE

HELP.

Do I need to lube this bad boy up or something? It's stuck. It's harder to snatch than a toddler holding your phone and running away. It's like trying to claw a slice of cake from a fat person, and I'd know, I'm the fat person.

Are you talking about the black tube or the top? I haven't worked with that specific model but I have worked with other IceCap HOB skimmers. If you are referring to the top, there is usually a rubber gasket/ring that separates the plastic insert piece from the main body. If it isn't coming out easily when it is in place, then I would remove it from the tank and use hot water to separate the pieces. Good luck!
