Skimmer help!

Hey all my reef octopus ps2000-Int is acting up a bit. I have the gate valve all the way open and water level is consistent, but I’m getting crazy overflow and bubbles now… any suggestions or am I doing something wrong? (And yes I know the drain line plug is out it’s filling too fast so I’m
Letting it drain as it fills right now!

Something got into the tank causing this. Running a drain line to a seperate bucket until it levels out may help.

Have you added anything to the tank? Also check the air inlet line make sure it's not blocked by salt deposit or something

My thoughts were something got into the water to make it extra foamy.

The only thing that’s gotten into the water is frozen brine shrimp but I do that daily and never have this issue

Nope no clogs and the only thing I added was purigen in a reactor a couple of days ago

Only other thing I can think of is pop the cup off and give it a good clean. But I do agree it almost looks like something got in the tank that's causing the skimmer to go nuts

My first guess is the Venturi is clogged.
Less air = more water
Take Venturi off and soak in vinegar overnight

What’s the Venturi? The air pump?

It’s the little plastic piece that slides onto the pump where the air hose connects.
Should clean it every six months or so
