Hi All,

I have searched all over and asked AI numerous times about this issue that is really degrading the experience I am having with my tank.

INT-100 with a Jebao return pump (and a hydros flow monitor). I am seeing consistent flow from my return, but after the first 6 months of the tank being run, I suddenly cannot keep the water level tuned between the primary drain and first emergency.

I have spent hours fine tuning the ball valve that controls the flow into my reef matt and playing with the return pump percentage. I can get the water going to the level of the first overflow and making gurgling noises as it goes down OR it falls to below the primary bean animal drain.

I’ve opened the valve all the way and closed it, as well as used a long brush on wire to clear the line. I cannot resolve the issue.

The worst is if I turn the pump off to feed, when I restart it seems to find a new level and I have to adjust the ball valve again. When I get it so it’s only lightly going down the first emergency, the valve is typically in a completely different spot and within a few days it’s risen and is gurgling loudly down emergency 1.

Any help on what to do next is appreciated. This also impacts my ATO and salinity as the rising and falling water levels in my sump trigger or suppress the ATO.

Sump pictured.

Can you outline left to right what each of the lines are tied to? It’s hard to follow what’s going on in the picture.

Just assuming the leftmost is your overflow - you have way too many 90s directly on top of the gate valve which will cause air gaps in the line and will be extremely hard to regulate as it will always be entrained.
